On a cold and breezy day (Nov - 05) at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, Reno, NV (Elevation 4900 ft .. temperature in the low 40s), Centennial HS Nick Hartle repeated as Nevada Boy 4A XC Champion -- winning going away.

What was set up as a duel between Hartle and Reno HS Jordan Cardenas (North Region Champion) started in fine fashion (I thought I had the money shot right there ) but only to see Cardenas fade badly on the last loop and ended up finishing 10th -- arguably the most disappointing and unexpected outing for him.

Note: If I had a media pass.. I can nail these finish line photos like nothing but the bottom of the net!
